LAS CRUCES - Though the state will begin to allow retailers to sell adult-use cannabis to customersfor the first time without needing a medical card Friday, that doesn't mean every budding business will be ready to go April 1. Licenses are still under review at both the local and state levels, and it could be a few weeks— and for some businesses still under construction, months — before many cannabis entrepreneurs can open their doors.
If you're a consumer, then, where can you walk in on Friday and purchase recreational weed? Here's a list of the local businesses we've confirmed are ready to open April 1 in Las Cruces andDoña Ana County.
This list may be incomplete, as inspections and license approvals are continuously underway. If you know of a business that's open and isn't below, please reach out tommcdevitt@lcsun-news.com.
